The timing of this video is divine 😂 I was just doing deep research on moving to Thailand. I’ll take this as a good sign. Thank you Amon!

Whoever dates their daughters have some big shoes to fill. Having that strong two parent household is one thing, but to watch their dad work with their mom to live a dream sets the standard!

I am a single mother thinking of moving either to Portugal or Thailand. It would be great to do a comparison video of both countries. My son is in primary school so it would be great to have a video showing the options for the international schools in Thailand. I enjoy watching your videos and will aim to join FIRE very soon!

Omg, we are going to Thailand next week. My husband love Huahin because it is quiet. Our plan is to live in Thailand for 2-3 months when it cold here in the US and traveling the world some month. We won’t wait 20 to enjoy life. I will be so delighted if I ran in to you both somewhere in Thailand.
Excited for the food there.

So glad you are selecting Thailand as one of your home. Thailand is my homeland while I am now living in USA. Hoping to visit very often and perhaps buying a house there. Very excited for you and I’m very jealous that I have to wait 2 years to do that. Enjoy. Keep the videos coming. Thanks for sharing.

Thailand is influenced by Buddhism culture, any countries with this culture the people are humble as you know Buddhism practice is being compassionate, kind, etc.

So glad you're here 😃 I've been living in Thailand for over 4 years and without watching this entire video, I can tell you the answer is "Yes!"

I’ve had 2 friends move to Thailand. One passed away in a suspected murder while living in a wealthy neighborhood and the other was robbed/beaten in his first month.

I would be very skeptical of what you hear about Thailand from ppl that are currently there. Thailand at face value seems amazing, but is built on a house of cards. The instability in that country is alarming but not obvious to the naked eye. Be careful.

You should always carry a small towel to wipe the sweat. Thailand is not the place to walk around without sweating too much. Buy good morning towels. Theyre everywhere in Asia. If you want this lifestyle. Get out of BKK. I been to Thailand many times and have good Thai friends. Thai folks are friendly and very hospitable.

Hi Amon and Christina,

Thank you for the awesome content and inspiration you provide! One of the challenges I’ve had a hard time finding a solution to for financial independence and moving abroad is the how to keep a US based stock market brokerage account without the brokerage closing or restricting the account if I’m no longer a US resident. I’ve read that this can be a common problem for investors who move abroad, but I’ve seen successful investors like you live abroad full time and maintain your US brokerage accounts. I’ve read a lot of financial articles about this and lots of comments on expat forums, but having a hard time figuring out how I can accomplish this. If you would consider making a video about how to overcome this challenge I would be so grateful! Thank you both for helping so many of us on our journeys!

Love this video!❤️ Thailand is on my list as one of the places to visit. I heard it's really nice and the fact that you guys are considering moving there reinforces that opinion. As you spend time there, I would like to see housing tours, interviews with expats, and more information about health care costs. Thanks again Our Rich Journey! You always inspire me. Enjoy your time in Thailand. 😊

Welcome back to Thailand. After almost two years in Portugal, my husband and I moved here to Bangkok and are so happy with our decision. Wishing you and your family all the best!😃

Great video as always. In a future video can you talk about what the requirements are to get into Thailand (and Portugal) perhaps a comparison. Income needs/requirements, required vaccines if any, best ways to locate apartments or homes either buying or renting, length of time allowed to stay before needing to pursue some form of citizenship etc. Best banks to use for ease of accessing funds if you have a US based bank

We are trying to answer that question at this time. Our kids are grown with their own lives. My husband retired last year and now we are thinking about spending time in South America and NYC. I enjoyed spending time outside of NY but I do miss home. The cost of living is pretty low in South America we can live on about 1500 to 2500 very lavishly. Going out to eat, buying groceries and keeping the housing expense.
