Ode to Moon/Moonlight ~ Going to ride this wave of playing with light and shadows. Learning more about what my hands can do. Stretching and holding figures that make sense and no sense at all. Not sure what I’m doing lately, but I’ll let my creative freedom flow. It’s time to move in ways that makes sense to me and my body. The rest will come after.

Written last year, still holds truth.

Ask yourself again in August,
“Are you ready to do some soul searching?”
Right now is the digging.
Looking for something to ground yourself in.
I’ve also heard it called,
“Moonlighting”.

Both make sense since you feel like you’re in the dark.
Dark days are necessary.
Don’t forget to look for the light.
It’ll always be there when you are ready.
For now,
Wander.

Feel and see what comes to light.
Things will come and go.
People too.
Hold onto whatever brings you a spark of hope,
Imagination,
Or creativity.

So that when you ask yourself again in August, “Are you ready?”
You can find the confidence to say,

“Yes.”
