This laptop certainly wouldn't be my first choice but I would happily use it in a pinch for general tasks.

Yes, I am aware that there is no longer support for Windows 7. I'm a risk taker.

the bottom cover slides off the bottom. You have tried to prize it off using a tool to slide around the edges. This could break the retaining plastic clips that keep it in place.
Instead flick the battery lock switch to the opposite side (to the left) and with your other hand try to slide the bottom plastic cover to the front of the laptop and it unclicks and slides off

I just upgraded an HP Mini 210 to a lite version of Win 10 + 2GB of ram. Surprisingly it works not bad.

Thats a very cool laptop, I ended up buying a sealed Compaq mini 110c. I think Im going to keep it in my collection without opening it. Itll be awesome to look back on here in the next 5/10 years

I installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bits on it and it runs just fine, the only problem was finding the 64 bit graphic driver whuch I found with one of those apps that find drivers for you, good work

Slide the orange battery lid further and its back cover will open by the mechanism 😇

$35 is a good deal for both components. I'm looking to switch to SSD as well... they're pricy so far... have to keep searching.

Similar device is still used by me in travels. Today I decided to upgrade it with SSD.
It is small, light and useful. I can sufr internet and buy, for examble fly tickets, and book hotels.
Also it is not my notebook, so it doesnt contain any sensitive data, work results or important files. So loosing it is not a problem.

I have alot of car diagnostics loaded with Win7. The HP starter software kills speed, space, boot issues. Any way to jail break the HP software only?

I did the exact same update a week ago. Do yourself a favour and install Q4os with Trinity desktop and use a Windows Theme. Runs great and you almost can't tell the difference between Windows and Linux!

You can install 4 gb of ram as long as you change the os fro. Starter to professional

Hi, i have an hp mini 210-2013ee and recently mother board die, wich version of hp mini is compatible for replacement. I found mother board from hp 210-3000. Will work on my 210-2013? Thanks a lot. Cheers

for me, i like watching laptop upgrades, and restoration. the reason why i stop hoarding old laptops it is because they take a lot of room space. I still hoarding them, but in control 😏

The windows key behind doesn't work for me. I think i installed a different windows 7 starter but the win key for lenovo worked but im having problems with the drivers, specially with the wifi and graphics. Ill try those hope it works.

Does Windows 7's transparent Aero effect work on this HP Mini 210? I don't have the option in Personalize and none of the display drivers that I've tried to install have worked. The Device Manager shows "Video Controller" with a yellow triangle too..
