I really like Android for Photo editing, I just wish we could get proper Photoshop or Affinity Photo on it like on iPad - its the only reason I still have my iPad Pro instead of an S8 Ultra

Nice to know you were out here in the Chi. I'm still going back and forth whether I want a laptop that I'll just use for emails, maybe YouTube and mainly Photo editing, or if something like this is good enough. Pricing both is complex because this is apples and oranges. This ultra is priced similar to more powerful laptops, but portability is the main reason. I love the fact that you can hold this on one hand while you can edit with the other (granted, it is a large screen). With a laptop you don't have a choice. :/

Great job. I'd buy one as soon as Android gets Affinity Suite.

How fast is the Micro Sd in the Tab S8 when used for photo storage? Is the gallery fluid as an Ipad Pro?
Thinking of getting the S8 Ultra with 1Tb Micro Sd card and dumping my photo collection on the card. Problem is that I have around 750gb of photos and if they're a laggy mess when you scroll the gallery I won't bother with it and get an Ipad instead.
Could you please let me know your thoughts about this?

Hello and congratulations for the video and your channel. I have a couple of questions: have you also uploaded raw format photos from Sony or Nikon to your tablet? Did you have any trouble opening them and working with Lightroom?
Thank you very much and good luck!!

The tablet does make it easy, though it's okay if you're using the images for online use. But I have not yet seen any phone or tablet that can be colour calibrated. When printing photos edited on either mobile device, the images never look the same or even close when printed.

So the 16g Version really squeezes all the power for the tablet or does the 8 g works just fine?

Great video! I haven't edited much on the S8 Ultra, but I started to edit a photo I took on my S22 Ultra today. I found the masking interface a bit frustrating when using the S-Pen. The image kept moving around when I was trying to add or subtract from a mask. I found I had to move the S-Pen very slowly to get it to work. My finger seemed to be a better option. Using the S-Pen, aside from the image moving, it kept hiding and unhiding the interface. This was all while in the masking interface. Have you experienced this and do you have any suggestions? Thanks again for the great video.

Hi Demas,

Great video you've put up. can you explain me how you transfer raw images to light room? Im using the Samsung galaxy S7 plus.
so far I have only be able to edit Jpg files because my tablet doesn't seem to accept raw files.

Awesome video man... how do you feel about the color accuracy on s8 amoled screen?? Do you feel you need to see the picture in a color calibrated monitor before posting? Saw some video where there is reddish tint on white background. I do some light editing and was thinking of some Portable device... thanks for your help man :)

Helo! How colour accurate is the display? thinking about this and the huawei matebook e oled for photo editing. officially huawei display is 100 dcip covarage and 600 nit brightness but reviewers said real world brightness is the same as tab s8 400 nits. so i dont know. and which would be faster for video editing also, luma fusion on tab s8 or davinchi on matebook e. What do you think?
