NATO and Russia are set to separately hold long planned exercises of their nuclear forces at a time of huge tension as Russia continues its war on Ukraine. The Pentagon and the US intelligence community are watching for any unexpected or unusual movements of Moscow’s nuclear weapons during Russia’s exercise, which is expected to take place before the end of the month, according to several US officials. #CNN #News

Ruzzia would never use an exercise as a cover to attack. Oh wait...

Let's not forget that the invasion was prepared under the name of a military excercise at the border with Ukraine

I don’t get why they keep saying stuff like “even a test launch will be unacceptable.” Yeah and somebody will wag a finger at them and won’t do anything really about it.

Barbara Starr always comes across with the goods, yet somehow I always have suspected she knows more than she reports.
I trust her.

>>> For far too long the world community has looked the other way at oppression and aggression because it is good for business. We must join with other nations and link international trade directly to human rights in a positive and consistent way. Never too late to change our selfish ways. The profit must be taken out of oppression or nothing will really change. In fact, only crooked corporations and oligarchs profit from the current world order.

Great timing... would almost be comedy, if it couldn't all end in tragedy.

What if Putin couldn't care less about what happens to Rusia - if he realizes he has no future anywhere and knows his days are numbered, with enemies both inside and outside Rusia he might just reason that as he is going down he will bring down as much as he can with him. No one really knows his state of mind - whether he thinks logically and rationally.

The fact we are even talking about this is nothing but sad. We all know what any use of nuclear weapons means and it's not good.

Russia threatening nuclear warfare in this situation is like the biggest “take my ball and go home” moment in human history. “Oh, I can’t annex a resource-rich, militarily vulnerable neighbor whenever I want? Fine, no one can play!” In this metaphor, the game is human civilization though.

Wow! Talk about saber rattling 😳nuclear weapons rattle really loud. Is this meant to be the final flurry of fireworks?

After some of the nukes go off, Putin will claim it was a accident.

It's all posturing! The more Russia talks about it and says they are going to do the less they are capable of doing.
This is gradeschool level threats...

I notice a mistake on the map.
It doesn’t say Ukraine is a pending member state, which it is.
At least it has got decent NATO arsenals currently.
