An well done piece on what appears to be an exemplary teacher. That he trains, going on what is shown above, in alleys and teaches in what looks like a parking garage brings to mind all those people who insist on lavish health clubs with juice bars and other 5 star settings and facilities. A good example of how it's not what you have but the will you have to get what you want in this (strength and health) or anything else.

The ammount of info compressed into this single video is insane!!!!

Inspiring! Here there is no separation between body and mind. I love it. Strength seems to come from relaxation. Speed from quietness... Philosophy in motion.

There's an old Xingyi form called "San Guan Ch'uan" that has some of the primordial foundations of what later developed into some of the Elements and Animals. It's apparently so old that no one knows where it came from. I think it's name is perhaps a variation of "San Quan" from the Three Fists from Dai Style Xinyi. Anyway, I have only found this form in one family. None of the others has heard of it. Any input? Has anyone heard of this form?

Nice, but was hoping for a more direct comparison of the spear movements to each of the five elements.

Between ages 5 and 25 I was in a dozen fights, some serious, some multiple opponents, after one attack I needed stitches to close a wound on my face. Then April 1, 1998 I quit drinking, quit tobacco, ran, lost weight, ate right, and started studying Chinese Martial Arts (plus other arts including Ju Jitsu, Escrima, etc.).

After four years of daily practice I became very good at fighting,  fought in a tournament, bounced at bars, and twenty plus years later can report having never had to use my skills on the street. It has come close twice, once in USA and once in South Africa, both times there was two of them. However my complete willingness to fight convinced my opponents that this was a losing engagement so they declined and left me alone.

I am now in my fifties, happily married, enjoy good health, respect from others, and have an abundance of chi. So my advice for any young person reading this: please start training today, pick whatever art interests you and is close to your house, then practice. The results take years but the benefits are better than gold.

the over-produced cuffing is kinda hilarious, did you put bass mics on their elbows?
