Tales of Arise is an action role-playing game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The seventeenth main entry in the Tales series, it was originally planned to release in 2020 only for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but was delayed to September 2021 due to internal quality issues and the ability to launch the game simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in addition to its originally targeted platforms. The game follows two people from the opposing worlds of Dahna and Rena.

Like previous games in the series, Tales of Arise is an action role-playing game, although its gameplay has gone through unspecified alterations as part of its development goals while retaining the basic Tales battle system, dubbed the Linear Motion Battle System. The game will have a big focus on evading and countering, with Tales of Graces, a 2009 entry praised for its combat, cited as inspiration. Unlike many of the previous titles in the series, the game will not feature multiplayer, with development team deciding to focus on various interactions between characters in combat, including the addition of the "Boost Strike" feature, allowing multiple party members to perform destructive attacks together under certain conditions.

Arise takes place in a setting divided between the medieval world of Dahna and the advanced world of Rena. Rena's superior technological and magical advancement cause it to hold power over Dahna, taking its resources and treating its people as slaves. The protagonists are a young man, Alphen, native to Dahna, and a young woman, Shionne, from Rena, who end up travelling together. They are later joined by other characters who also hail from both Dahna and Rena.

This game is actually part of a series of games. They are all great games. Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Bersaria, Tales of Xyllia, Tales of Abyss, and the list goes on. My first Tales game was Tales of Symphonia. I fell in love with this series. Tales of Arise is the first one I've played where the gameplay and graphics were really changed. Just hoping it improves it instead of leaving a dark mark on the series. Have fun playing

I platinum this game and played it twice. Just recently I bought the Beyond the Dawn DLC, because I missed playing this game and its characters. I watched this video because I forgot the mechanism. Damn, this game is good.
