This is fantastic -- very addictive game. With respect, I note a few improvements: the combine row logic needs to be distinguished for up vs down, and left vs right. For example, if there are 3 identical values then the combination has to be closest to the side that matches the direction of movement. Also, game end logic for losing needs to be updated to detect whether there are any values that can be combined in any direction. Simply having a full board is not sufficient.

Great tutorial -- really enjoyed it ---
One little thing: the game is not over wenn you don't have 0 (zeros) left -- you still have one chance to go, if the numbers are equal next to each other (like in the video 52:59 --> you could still going on with the twos --horizontally + vertically)

so an extra challenge to go on and implement this opportunity. 🤓

I'm not sure I understand why the addColours() function needs to be on a timer interval. Won't it work if you just call it manually after the call to generate() in each key*() function?
