A man without empathy is more dangerous than anyone else

Some sins in youth are forgivable, but contempt for the lower-class does not go away.

As a Indo-Brit (mostly Indian and l live in India), he is not Indian. He serves the interests of the British! Let's not get pumped up about this. In fact...

It would be great to see a working class individual make it to PM. Somebody who understands what the majority of the nation is going through rather than those who are in the top 10%

A wise person chooses friends who share their values, regardless of social class.

I don't think we should expect anything from Indian origin people, who were especially born abroad.

How can a person who has prejudice against working class represent a nation??

To the Indians all excited about him. It's entirely irrelevant to us. This guy is as British as it gets. Nothing remotely Indian about him except for his looks.
He'll act for the interests of Britain and those interests are more often than not, contradictory to India's interests.
Nothing to celebrate here even if he makes it.

He comes across as someone who knows about middle class problems via ppt presentations and board room discussion about how to deal with poverty

This is basically being used as an attack strategy before the person even is elected to that position.

Just a reminder that Rishi Sunak MP, the man in charge of the country's purse strings and perhaps the strongest voice insisting that the extra £20 a week to those on Universal Credit must be cut, is one of the richest men in the country.
Sunak's wife, Akshata Murty, is the daughter of a Billionaire. She owns shares worth £430M in her father's company alone, meaning she has more money than the Queen.
Sunak himself, is a former hedge fund manager and Goldmann Sachs banker who attended the elite boarding school of Winchester College.
Today it costs £41, 709 to send a child there for one year 😳
Sunak's property holdings span several continents, and just one of his homes in London alone is worth £7M.
This is the man holding down the minimum wage and refusing to properly pay our key workers.
The people making these decisions don't have the faintest idea what life is like without the safety blanket of financial security.
They are NOT on your side! They’re just pretending that they are.

It’s the mindset that won’t go even in younger age or older

Upper class people have friendships with upper class ones. Working class people have friendships with people of similar backgrounds. It is a universal truth and not something extraordinary. He just spoke truth.

PM should be some one who understand everyone. Especially the working class and the poor. This guy clearly detest the poor and his father seemed to be be proud about.

Why are we discussing a candidate that's not even contesting for an election in India?
Please come out of the colonial mindset
He is in and out a non-indian
Don't go on his name
If given a chance he will change that to fit in that western society

He didn’t say he was ashamed he just corrected himself when he realised what he uttered was an overstatement.
