Just beautifully played, so laconic, it adds to the song without taking over.

In the documentary “Hail! Hail! Rock ‘N Roll, ” you see quite a bit of Steve Jordan. Keith Richards put together a backing band for Chuck Berry to perform at a tribute gig for Berry at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, and the film documents that process, along with including material about Chuck Berry’s life. Steve Jordan was in the band, and there are a number of images of him from the rehearsals and the gig itself. Charlie himself recommended Jordan as his stand-in when he was too ill to tour.
