All sites eventually crumble. For all the people seeing the long-term patterns, and justifiably worried about Odysee heading in the same direction 16 years from now? You're probably right. Just don't be afraid of jumping ship into whatever website appears then.

Youtube also was way more flexible regarding censorship in it’s old days, and then got all pumped up on steroids and started telling what is wrong and what is right. I hope Odysee don’t follow that example in case it get Massive adoption like YouTube did

LBRY need to be fully autonomous so SEC cant touch them. this is a weak point with LBRY

I was both suprised and excited to see some pretty big names on that site when I first checked it out. Channels like Cold Fusion and the AVGN. Would be nice to get some more bigger names there. Certainly would help it feel more "at home". From what I hear it's really easy to sync channels so there's really no reason not to.

odysee also has an extension that is placing a "watch on odysee" button next to subscribe button on yt videos if they also exist on odysee

This sounds like a more centralized version of what IPFS or Zeronet are doing, but specialized for videos instead of files in general.
The idea sounds nice because everything that is "not youtube" by now sounds nice. But aside from that I am not yet sure if it is that much better.

To transition to an alternative platform better than YouTube would be so difficult as YouTube have established themselves so well, I mean I've been using them since 2004 when I was like 8 or 9, now 25. I know YouTube is a bit corrupt the way they work but I doubt anyone can compete with them
