Zach Sobiech's mom, Laura Sobiech share's a special message during 'Clouds Week'! ☁️

This week we're celebrating 'Clouds Week'! A week dedicated to helping Zach Sobiech finish what he started - finding a cure for osteosarcoma.

Follow Children's Cancer Research Fund on social media as they share information about Zach, his inspiring story and his dream to make the fight for osteosarcoma easier for kids who come after him

Crazy that 10 years ago, my teacher played this song when I was 11. They told us his story, and who he was. Even though I was young, this story and song has remained with me. Through everything that’s happened in my life, I’ve always remembered your sweet boy. As someone from iowa, I feel so close to you and your family. God bless you, and thank you for coming into my life 10 years ago, through your son. I will be watching the clouds movie, asap. The song clouds will forever be engraved in my brain. I was diagnosed with neuroblastoma 9 years ago at Children's MN and listen to clouds every night I go to bed. Zach died 2 years and 9 days after I was diagnosed. Also by the way I'm cancer-free and 16 years old.

I remember hearing his story and being touched so long ago, to this day I think of his personality and wisedom. I fell in love with the way he sees the world and his compassion even through having a horrifying disease.

I love his music and his life and the life he gives to people and inspires people to this day. Even not being here with us (sadly)

He's amazing. Truly. I know he is smiling from the clouds in a better place knowing he put smiles on the faces of people around the world uniting them together through his story.

Dear Mrs Sobiech
Our family have just watched clouds on the Disney plus and we had all sobbed . I can’t imagine how proud of Zach and his bravery-and what he has done for so many others . As a mum it must of been so heartbreaking for you and his father and siblings and friends. I myself have had breast cancer 6-7 years ago but luckily got through acute cancer I had 2 lumps in my breast and it had reached my lymph nodes . I am regularly taking tablets and that will be 10 years until they say I’m clearly out of the woods . I know so many people are not so lucky .I know how every day I feel so lucky to be alive and it’s strange how much I appreciate with example the colour of the grass, to the birds and the trees and how much the earth is important now . I wish your family well this current time coming up to Christmas and with covid and how hard that must be for sufferers of cancer during this time . I just also want to say how inspired I was by Zachs bravery and clouds the song is regularly played now much love the Dynes from the U.K.
