I’ve built two projects with fender bodies (one strat, one tele) with warmoth Gibson scale conversion necks - highly recommended. It’s a cool vibe, plus there’s a trippy feeling when you pick up a regular fender right after playing them and it suddenly feels soooo looonnggg by comparison 😅

I enjoy the live unboxings because it's a real life representation of the products QC for the average buyer. Takes a little longer but real world stuff! All my new guitars come from Sweetwater!

You could just change out the pots to stronger ones and that would help give tone to the pickups

I lucked out I guess - the stock pickups in mine sound just fine - not mud balls as you describe every inexpensive P90 to be. The lower priced guitars often have phenomenal sound for the money. Comparison: I have a 1977 Gibson Les Paul Special with P90's. I also have an under $500 Epiphone SG Classic with P90s. Which one do I reach for most? The Epiphone... because it has a sass and growl all its own and is just more fun to play. It, like the StratoSonic, doesn't turn to mud with its stock pickups. Perhaps you're biased a bit toward changing to your pickup brand? The comparisons are through a Fractal unit so these sound comparisons are very clear and unfettered. Overall - thanks for the video.

It reminds me of a solid Strat version of the Jim Adkins JA90 Telecaster with the 24.75 scale and the colour seems similar through the YouTube machine. I've got one and I like the sense of humour in it, a 50's Les Paul in a Thinline Tele outfit.
