1998 first released back in 1997 (slightly amusingly...or is it just me) on London based Trance label 'Aquarius'.

This legendary track spawned a ton of remixes over the years as we know, and although the Paul van Dyk Remix remains a personal fave of mine, the original is still right up there. Without it none of those remixes would exist after all and that higher pace certainly does it for me too.

There's still something epic and untouchable with that original 😊🙌

Yeah absolutely legendary, it was popular in the US as well as it was being played when i was in elementary school. I remember reading an old trance website in the early 2000s where some kid knew the song but wanted to know the name, and he uploaded a recording of himself "singing" the sequencer melody, so dude was going like dooo-dooo-dooo-dooo-doooo" over and over 😂😂😂😂

I remember being 11, on Saturday night my dad used to make me go to mass (must be an Irish thing) I used to record radio 1 on a cassette on an old alba radio, turn the sound down and listen to it when I came back after mass, I got into bed that night, put my headphones in and played back the tape, a few tunes in and this came on, I was absolutely blew away, fast forward to Christmas, I got my first set of decks ( soundlab belt drives and a dsm 15 mixer), that was nearly 25 years ago, IV three kids now and my middle boy aged 10 is playing vinyl on his own set of turntables, trance is unreal lol ❤️

I missed (literally) this jam back in the 90's. At the time, we were more into Hardcore/Techno, Gabber, Jungle. Been listening to trance for about 10 years now. When I first heard this (last year), I was like "this has GOT to be a 90s tune!!" 😆

I remember being on about 8 rolls, a ten strip of acid and bumps of K, listening to this when the DJ dropped it and it felt like lighting running up and down my body, dance floor CORUSCATING!!! Fun times, that year will live on Forever in my mind!!!

First time I heard this was when I was just 16, staying up late to tape the BBC radio 1 Essential Mix on my C120 cassette. Special live broadcast from Creamfields 1998. Pete Tong introduces Paul Oakenfold on the decks. El Niño, Mario Piu, then boom... What the hell is this... Binary Finary. Blown away.
