Fairmont Motorcar Rail speeder brought back to life

This car was acquired two days ago after being in storage since 2014. Had a few issues including corroded wiring and a bad check valve seat in the carburetor. Following a timer cleaning and carburetor repair, it was fired up. 1954 Norfolk & Western Railway MR19.

i own one that is in need of a full restoration. its actually got a story too it. Was given to me as a birthday present by some old man in my home town. Its a 1957 model, and its actually Clinchfield Railroads #10. its the 10th one they ever bought of these little speeders

I used to own that speeder. I rebuilt the ROC engine and carb. I sold it to a guy in PA sometime around 2014. I guess he never used it. We had that motor car for a couple years and did excursions in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado (La Veta Pass), and Missouri. Loved running the popper especially with the dual belt drive system. I currently have an MT19.
