I love how comfortable she seems with this crowd. In some of her other live shows, the crowds are just garbage and are just so awkward. We might not like lively active adoring and lows crowds but I think that’s what boosts Lana’s confidence and control

This will forever be one her best performances EVER. From the first performance she officially put on as Lana Del Rey, and the last performance she did at a festival overseas. She truly doesn’t get the credit she deserves. And I wish that amateur “vocal coaches” with a YT channel would react to THIS fucking performance, or a clip of one of her nights at Coachella of Hollywood Forever Cemetery, or just her most recent concert. She has improved much* as far as nerves, anxiety, and stage fright. Leaps and bounds apart from how she was in like 2012. She’s just one of the misfits talented and incredible artists we have today. Hands down.

The song is about Lolita. "Carmen" is one of Humbert Humbert's favourite nicknames for Lo. "Telling them she's having fun" is actually "Telling hum she's having fun", because Hum ( Humbert ) is Lolita's stepfather and Lover. And the song Hum sings to Lolita goes " oh my Carmen, my little Carmen ... ". Born to die has a so many Lolita references. The songs "This is what makes us girls", "Cola" and "Gods and monsters" all allude to the innocence possessed by a young girl. Lana also refers to Lolita in "Off the races". "Light of my life, fire of my loins" is used in the song's hook and the song opens with "my old man is a bad man". Lana also has a song titled "Lolita" which revolves around youth and male attraction.
