Like many here I cried at the end of this movie. Although I'm not Buddhist in a religious sense I embrace it as a philosophy. This movie inspired me to choose compassion over hatred and love over apathy.

I have never been the same ever since I first heard this song. I felt a certain attachment to it. When I first saw the English lyrics, I can confirm that this song has a message that people from all cultures and religions should hear. God bless everyone!

I watched this because Jacky Chan in this movie, but powerful play by Andy Lau is outstanding....

"Every being carries Buddha nature. We shouldn't discriminate".

This is a wonderful song (and movie) that embodies much of the buddhist teachings. When we have boundaries, we discriminate. We choose between this and that, and see us vs. them. But we are all interconnected. Our eyes deceive us, but that is ok as long we are aware of the deception. We must simply recognize our character and emptiness, and walk in simplicity down this road of life.

I saw this film about a week ago and I was bawling my eyes out. I cried when the daughter died and she told her father not to be angry at the monks trying to save her, when the monks were being killed off one by one and when the refugees watched in sorrow as Shaolin burned.

This movie is very enlightening. Needs to be shown to World Leaders, Politicians and Banking Executives. Companies that benefit from loans, investments and insurance company executives. Is power and money really that important to you? That you rob them everyday, blackmail them, kill them? For what? At the end of the day, you might be in a Rolls Royce, and I might be walking. But we all have the same sized graves. Death is the same for all. Truly our judge is the one lord, may he forgive our sins if we repent and act good. May he save us from the punishments that await the evil Heart.

This film was filmed in Mandarin. A former master of mine, Shi YanQing...seen walking behind WuJing in the training scene said they filmed in Mandarin, and he couldn't stop laughing at Andy's awkward Mandarin with his accent...This film will forever be #1 in my heart
