Euler’s Method - A Step-by-Step Guide for Solving Differential Equations
In this video, we'll explore the basics of Euler’s Method for numerically solving ordinary differential equations (ODEs). We walk through a simple example to illustrate the process and derive the general recursive formula used to approximate solutions. Perfect for students learning how to apply numerical methods to differential equations!

What You Will Learn

The concept of Euler’s Method and how it approximates solutions to ODEs.
How to derive and use the recursive formula for Euler’s Method.
A detailed example that estimates the solution of an initial value problem step-by-step.
Understanding how step size (h) affects the accuracy of the solution.
Euler’s Method provides a straightforward numerical approach for approximating the solutions of differential equations. This tutorial walks through a first-order ODE, showing how to apply the recursive formula given by Euler's method to estimate the solution iteratively. By understanding the basics of this technique, you'll be able to tackle more complex differential equations in your studies.

You honestly just taught this better in 12 minutes than my BC Calc teacher did in 1 hour.

First of all, I am getting A in my Cal class thanks to you. I like the way you explain the concept and then give example afterwards.
Do you also have a video on Direction Fields? I am a bit confused on that.
You are a math genius, i am sure you are a life savor to so many people including me. Thanks man!

I’ve been watching your videos to understand math since junior high. Now watching this one while cramming for the final exam of my last math class (I’m a senior in college). Thank you for everything man!

dude...I barely do basic math...but listening to you go over this, makes me praise those who can do this sorta math....since I am more mechanical, where I excel, hats off to those such as your self, doing this glorious work on you tube and in real life....ok back to  my R and D work.

Thank you for helping me for free. I've understood more from tutorials like this than I ever did in the classes I had to pay for. You are a saint.

Patrick, after I graduate I'm going to give you a good donation. It's the least I can do after all the money you've saved me by helping me avoid paying for tutoring and for retaking math classes. Seriously, thank you so much for making all this content available for free. My college experience so far would've been way different without this.

Thanks for explaining the notation. My book just uses all these variables, but doesn't explain them at all!

I really appreciate for you to upload this video. I totally understand the numerical analytic method of ode of euler but...
I think the euler method has too much error for applying real calculation.
