I loved when you mentioned the long antenna is for talking to God… you are right on because we all surely need to spend some time talking to God 🙏🏼

Great as usual. JAG-U-R.. correct. That is the best engine Jag ever put out, bullet proof for sure.

I have often heard that the wooden door trim panels crack because of sunlight. But there is a more important problem. When people open the door, they press against the wooden panel, instead of the door handle. Seems natural. But the wooden door panels are not backed with metal, and they give when pressed against, and the varnish cracks. Just thought I would mention this, since you see the cracked varnish on these all the time. Thanks for this channel - I have learned a lot!

I am 51 y.o. and have just concquered my 22 y.o.'s old dream: a XJ6 british racing green 1995. This Jag is my dream came true. It has some minor issues but I will surely improve them step by step. Loved your video, pal. Thanx. San José de Los Fields, Brasil.

Great review Jesse. Down to earth, to the point, devoid of the elitist BS. and ego that plague so many other Youtube car reviewers, your review tells it like it is. Its great for anyone considering getting one of these cars. And even for those who are not. And since you are a true car guy who knows how to fix them, your review carries that much more weight. Thanks. God Bless.

Working on restoring a 1996 x300. Needs a paint job and interior work but it runs like a champ. Falling in love with the stupid thing!

Love my x300. Mines a 96 VDP with a VIP build. It's beautiful and people compliment it all the time. My steering wheel doesn't tilt, the motors dead, and the sunroof doesn't retract, but it does tilt. And my trunk button doesn't open the trunk. Small things that I can fix, just haven't found the time.

I actually sold these when new. Awesome car for sure..
Fun fact: your Jaguar key will lock ALL X300's and Jags from the same era. :-)

XJ Jesse, you are the best. I always enjoy your videos. Far too many of the other Jag guys only care about XJR'S and BHP and speed. There is more to Jags than just speed and image of power and speed. Williams Lyons saying was Grace Space and Pace. Pace which was the speed came last because Lyons was more interested in building a luxurious car, and very clearly said just after retiring, that the "best car" he had ever made was the XJ6. He had one and drove it until he passes away. It was Wiilliam Lyons cars I fell in love with, not a brand name. Keep the good work up Jesse.❤

You have a great spec, I can’t wait to get one soon. They have always been one of my dream cars. I test drove a 2001 XJR in 2022 that was in bad condition (stopped accelerating on the highway during the test drive as well), and despite it being in bad condition, I could tell how amazing it was. I test drove a 2007 XJ8 in 2021 as well and I loved that one too, they both have great acceleration and the feeling in them is amazing.

I noticed you upgraded your wheels. Just got some XK8 myself . Pretty bad ass with 18's and 245/255's on it.

Great video, I'm in touch with a local guy about a '97 VDP. I offered $2200. Has a power steering fluid leak and a check engine light that he says is the O2 sensor. Clearcoat issue on the boot and top. Also cup holder broke. Interior is really nice, leather is good, just a little dirty. Long wheel base with the tables in the back. 4 heated seats. If he agrees to my price I may well pull the trigger. Always wanted a Jag. Why not get a beautiful money pit for Xmas.

This is a beautiful car. I have a 1996 XJ6 4ltr LWB. It is in almost mint condition but I paid 3 times the price you did. Now her is the most interesting thing. I also have a 2006 2.1ltr X400 X Type V6 FWD and it is much harder to work on than the straight 6. If many Jaguar buyers had more practical sense than macho ego, the XType would have been a much better practical and smoother car with a 4 cylinder engine than a V6. Try working on an X Type after working on these XJ6 and you will soon find out how great the XJ6 is mechanically. This Jag you bought your mother is one of the best and most beautiful Jags ever made and I have had many Jags. My first car was a Jag way back in 1976. I'm 76 now, so I have seen a lot of Jags in my life. This XJ6 is by far the best.
