Actually using one of Wilbur's songs for this was a brilliant—if heart-tuggingly bittersweet—decision. The song alone works so beautifully, the fact it's actually him speaking is just like a final perfect cherry on top. Tallulah is adorable here and it breaks my heart seeing her like that, which means well done. Also really fond of the timing on the line "from the same dirt."

q!Wilbur and Tallulah have these images of themselves as burdens or not good enough to be a wanted parent/child....which makes their bond that much sweeter. But it made Wilbur leaving even harder on both of them, because q!Wil finally believed he was worthy of having a kid, and Tallulah finally felt worthy of being one and was told she'd never be abandoned again.
And Tallulah saying she survived by "eating dirt" couples nicely with this line--like she's acknowledging the bittersweetness of their connection.
