ARK: Assertion Failed / LowLevelFatalError [Fix]

In this video I show you how to fix the Assertion Failed error as well as LowLevelFatalError that crashes ARK when you try to join an online game or a singleplayer game.

If the game minimizes after the crash and you cannot get it back up to see where it crashed, try chaning the settings to windowed mode.

So last Fjordur patch I had this error and am somewhat a casual at the moment so I told myself I would try the servers again later. Same thing today on the release of the Event for summer. Followed your guide and deleted the Biomes one that it was stuck on. ran the check and it found 6 files that needed replacing... I don't know what happened. It worked for me so far! tried on solo 1st, and now on the online maps.

I get this low level fatal error As Well but I load into the game fine, the game just crashes and gives that error message like 30 minutes after I start playing it... help

Anyone else still having issues? i have done everything from verifying / doing what the vid said above to reinstalling all of ark entirely but when playing i either fly around and freeze and crash and get that error and other times its perfect? and i can only get back in if i die or reinstall the game. Im so lost how to fix this.

Anyone else not even get past the loading screen, mine just says the map like “the island” then it will pop up assertion failed or whatever

OMG! It really worked. I had the error at Primal Data and it wasnt there in the maps so i deleted all and it worked. Thank you sm!

This is super disappointing, because I hadn't played Ark in a year or so, saw some updates and decided...hey, why not. I've upgraded my computer since then, so now I've got a better setup and an RTX2080. Set it to play 4k just for fun, worked fine for about an hour, then crashed. Launched again, same thing. Seems like the more I load the game, the faster it crashes.

I saw some people comment to lower video settings, and none of that helps. From some other feedback, looks like this might be a known issue that they don't care to fix, but I'd hope that isn't the case.

Even if this doesn't work I still appreciate how relatable it seems as well as how easy it is to understand. All these other videos are telling me to uninstall the game and reinstall it and I ponder how tf that even works for anyone smh xD

If anyone has the issue where it crashes when its loading “the island ruins” try reset your game to a previous save file to see if it helps, I tried a bunch of methods and none of them resolved the issue when I wanted to play the island map. until I deleted the corrupted latest save file and reused a previous save file,

I have the same issue although i can load in, but within 10 minutes of loading it crashes to desktop, and the error message appears after a few seconds

thanks this really helped. I had a game world on Fjordur where I invested already 60 hours and it always crashed but my other game worlds on a diffrent map always worked so I was worried that I would lose my Fjordur world but your video helped me fix it :D
