Very excited for our Chelsea Girls buddy read … I also opened it up a few years ago and actually didn’t get on well with it but I look forward to coming to it as a different reader this time. Having you and Nathan to talk to about it is a huge plus.

Fabulous selection of books. Loved the sound of ‘Old Dear’. I need to read Annie Ernaux this year. I Lapvona. See if the mood takes you. Lispector is an author I want to get to this year too. I just got her chunkster short story collection to try her words. It’s huge!

if it's helpful, lapvona was my favorite moshfegh and I've read all her books besides mcglue and homesick. it was very different from her other books so if you're a bit burnt out on her style don't let that completely turn you away from it, she sticks with her ironic and blunt voice but its not following some tortured woman. all the characters and dynamics of lapvona were so interesting. and since the language isn't dense it's a pretty quick read

I enjoyed this haul. I’ll have to give Lapvona a read. Seems interesting and you’re like the fifth booktuber to suggest/want to read it 😅 btw I love your shirt.
