Y/n and Cedric met when getting on the boats to Hogwarts in y/n first year. Since then you've teamed up on some school projects and been as close as a Hufflepuff and Slytherin could get. Years later Cedric wanted to make Cho jealous, since she's flirting with Harry publicly, so y/n agreed to pretend like you two are dating and deeply in love. Y/n spend less time in the Slytherin common rooms and start to care for Cedric but only as a friend. The new experience outside of your deatheater expected future is oddly exciting. Unknowingly to Cedric, Voldemort had plans to marry you off to a Slytherin boy and didn't want y/n dating anyone until he chose. Yes, all the Slytherin boys like you and expect to be chosen. Mattheo, Voldemorts son, was actually in love with you since childhood. Your families have always been close but y/n always viewed him like a big brother. He told the boys to scold y/n for not listening to Voldemorts threat and to test y/n affection for Cedric. He joked about stabbing Cedric but they took it seriously. Shocked someone you trusted so much could be so violent to an innocent scared you. You don't know at this point that Mattheo has killed two people already by this time but seeing y/n scared of him hurt more than anything he's experienced. Y/n push past Mattheo and rushed Cedric to Madam Pomfrey. Cedric's last words before passing out was "Don't leave me Y/n"
