International Business School Americas is offering 🔥🔥10 Scholarships especially for Dream Prague viewers🔥🔥 to the Winter 2022 S.U.N.Y. program!

In this video I'll tell you what I got wrong about Czechia and Czech culture to prevent any visiting foreigners from getting fined, poisoned, or simply embarrassed.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Hi, I'm Jen, an 🇺🇸 American living in 🇨🇿 Prague, Czechia for the past 9 years. What do I know about Czechs in the first place? More every day! I make it my mission to share everything I learn about this country and culture on my channel Dream Prague, even if I sometimes get it wrong.

Jen! Thank you for all the videos you do! The fact that we mentioned you're video was not meant bad in ANY way. We just come across this thing (drinking in public) a lot, so we wanted to clarify this. We also mention in the video that this ordinance is violated regularly not only by tourists but by us as well. Love your show, and sent you a msg on Instagram, wish and hope we can do something together!

Well, you do what almost nobody does on Internet. You take responsibility for your content. Even when it is not serious at all. Thanks!

Hey my wife is from Brno and says she is pretty sure vrabec (Moravian sparrow) is named that way because the pieces of the pork are as big as the bird, or at least they should be.

Oh Jen, you're such a treasure. Honestly admitting mistakes and correcting them, adding humour and flair on top. Another great video.

Hi Jen, a great vlog of self-reflection! One thing you probably got about Czechs by now is that any mistake, no matter how small, will be identified, mercilessly scrutinized, and corrected on the spot! May be due to the education system. The fact that on occasion there may be several conflicting corrections will be graciously overlooked. Alternative facts anyone?

Well done, Jen. Thanks for the humble video today. As a Canadian living in Prague, I feel like I'm learning all the time as well. It's all about hearing from the locals and figuring things out! Thanks for keeping it coming. I did learn about mushrooms today, ha!

Yes, please, to a video on the Schwartzenbergs. I enjoy watching your channel. I have family in Czechia and this helps when I can't travel there from US. Best to you and hug Tobik for me!

Ad imperial vs metric system - it reminds me one explanation from "Good Omens" book: Two farthings = One Ha'penny. Two ha'pennies = One Penny. Three pennies = A Thrupenny Bit. Two Thrupences = A Sixpence. Two Sixpences = One Shilling, or Bob. Two Bob = A Florin. One Florin and one Sixpence = Half a Crown. Four Half Crowns = Ten Bob Note. Two Ten Bob Notes = One Pound (or 240 pennies). One Pound and One Shilling = One Guinea.

The British resisted decimalized currency for a long time because they thought it was too complicated."
