SikaSeal®-106 Construction: How-to Guide

SikaSeal®-106 Construction is a hydroflex sealant for connection joints and provides many benefits:
Low cost: Similar to acrylic sealants and extended silicones.
UV stability: Weathering and UV stability makes it suitable for external applications. Unlike extended silicones it does not discolor over time.
Elasticity: With an elongation of 400 % (acc. to ISO 8339) it is better than many extended silicone sealants.
Application properties: Excellent application properties such as easy manual extrudability and very short cut-off string (no messy sealant residues on window frames, for example).
Over-paintable: Perfectly over-paintable. Better than most polyurethanes and STP sealants. EH&S: No labeling, water borne, very low odor, meets VOC emission classification EC1PLUS and complies with LEED v4 EQc2.
Adhesion: Good adhesion without any pre-treatment. Especially on porous substrates like mortar and wood, but also on many window frame materials.
