Yea, so Bad Religion is about unrequited love, not religion.

Bad Religion is actually about how he compares his love for another man with a cult. Because usually cults worship and defend an entity, and don't really receive anything from that entity, much like Frank doesn't receive any love back from the man he's in love with. And he says that he belongs to a one man cult, and also that he can never make the guy love him. So his love for this man who doesn't love him back is in fact much like a Religion, a Bad Religion where you don't get what you give

can't we say the reason for the album being disjointed comes from the album having a changing the channel on the television type feel, hints the title. it seems throughout the album he's changing the channel to different stories and situations. i think that's the reason for the album being disconnected.

You definitely interpreted "Sweet Life" incorrectly. It's another satirical take on privilege and social tunnel vision. "Mangos, Peaches, and Limes, the sweet life, " serves as a crucial contradiction, exposing how Frank feels that spoiled living is rather sour than sweet, possibly a reflection of the drug use(cocaine) that he talks about in later songs, or about the uppity attitudes that rich people can possess. He rhetorical asks, "So why see the world when you got the beach?" basically begging whoever the you is in the song to consider what their life would be with some perspective or experience away from the ease of high society. I don't think someone as talented and as good a writer as Frank would blatantly contradict themselves on two songs. I think they are redundant and that "Super Rich Kids" should have been the only one of the two on the album but I like the message and musical backing to both tracks.
