I went for the Crosshair x870e and I really love it.

These are some of my issues if anyone was thinking of getting one -

Firstly it's had BIOS updates nearly every month which has solved any issues I've had plus claimed to improve performance.

I built the workstation for literally one thing . The one piece of software I need crashed immediately upon launch. It turned out to be something related to 'AGESA'.
But this support was fixed with an update and everything worked immediately afterwards.

My second issue (and this might be a common issue amongst all motherboards) I tweak a lot of settings to improve performance for my Ryzen 9950x. Unfortunately, if I save all my changes into 1 of the 10 profile slots, any BIOS update erases all of the slots. I have to write down or remember all the changes I made and input them again.

Lastly, I use two GEN-5 SSDs in RAID 0. I can't get close to rated throughput. Only one of the SSD lanes uses the PCIe lanes correctly, the other seems to use less than a quarter of the rated speed.
I don't even have a graphics card for this workstation - I want all the PCIe lanes to be used by the SSD, but it automatically drops from Gen-5 to Gen-4 and then also bifurcates the lanes.
My MP700 Pro SSD should be getting close to 14GB/s read speed, but I'm only getting an additional 2-3GB/s in addition. The primary M1 slot works fine at maximum speed.
