I feel like Nerf instead of looking at the success of their Elite line instead looked at their budget line on how to make blasters cheaper. Less screws, clip together, quality drops and performance drops but charging normal prices.

About the only thing I like about this line is using holes and cut out text on the shell to get colour detail on both sides of the blaster.
Otherwise the shells are uglier, the colour isn't great and the performance seems to be horrid with reliability issues and outright breaks being frequent enough that I wouldn't trust them.

the funny thing is you can get a triad for seven dollars or a jolt for four dollars and the trio is for 8 dollars at walmart. I can get you sometimes different stores have the better prices but you need to remember to check all of the major stores first

The great thing about the 2.0 line, in my opinion, is the fact that there will be a whole new crop of Nerfers that will be getting them and thinking that this is the baseline of standard. Which will make them so much more appreciative of all the blasters of yesteryear. Yes the original elite will be like the treasures of the Nerf gods, along with the eerie/goofy Zombiestrike line or the even goofier but cosmetically unique Doomlands line! There may even be more interest in the Rebelle line, as the sleek smooth esthetics mixed with their hidden mod potential prove that the ladies and stylish young men can fling foam with the rest of them!....yeah that is my head-canon and I am sticking to it.

I think the fact these barrels are in an O/U configuration might make it a bit more comfortable to store. I guess the triangle design it make better sometime because of its more rounded shape it could fit better in a pocket. But this one looks like it could just be Velcroed onto something and take up very little space.

Nerf CEO: How do we make Elite better?

Guy 1: Cramped grips.

Guy 2: Rehash old designs.

Guy 3: Lower the production and performance quality.

Guy 4: Make them impossible to mod or repair without completely destroying them.

Guy 5: More tac rails.

Guy 6: Come up with new blasters designed around functional gimmicks. Make them perform as good as blasters modded with third party parts. Make them easy to disassemble and repair.

It's reached the point where the Triad is off the shelf, and that really sucks because Hasbro succeeded in replacing quality items on the shelf with cheaply made replacements that didn't need to be bad if Hasbro just put in basic quality control.

2.0 trio: not coming open and doesn't perform well
