I’ve loved Dame Julie Andrews ever since I was a little kid. My mom showed us the sound of music and Mary poppins and we loved her. She is beauty and Grace but she’s also funny enough to throw a pie in your face! Bless her heart. ❤️

One of my earliest memories is watching The Sound of Music with my grandparents. The moment Miss Andrews started to sing I was enchanted. Then I discovered Mary Poppins and I instantly knew I would adore this women for the rest of my life. (I also fell in love with Dike Vandyke through Poppins but that is another story lol) She is one of the few people in Hollywood that her grace, poise, compassion, & good heart match the immense talent she has. I am so thankful I got to exist the same time as Julie Andrews. Thank you Miss Andrews for all the joy & hope you have brought into my world. We all love you!!!!

Lin! A "Soundtrack" is a film score. "Camelot" was an Original Cast Recording. Of all people...you should know that. But...yes, I played that LP every day when I was a kid. Along with Poppins and Sound of Music and My Fair Lady.

I think one of DJA's finest qualities must be her patience: she never shows any sign of exasperation when asked the same question. or about the same thing, for the hundredth time - or when people go on about SoM or MP, as if she never made anything else. I love both of those, but they're helped by the gorgeous R&H and Sherman bros. music; some of her other films (Torn Curtain, Emily, Duet for one) show she can really act, too. (And dance, as sometimes seen in her TV show!) But on interviews, she remains patient - and of course a lady (with no airs).
