This Op is honestly amazing if you know the series and understand all the symbolism within. I can't go in detail without major spoilers, but if you want to know or are just interested in discussing the Op because you've already read the Manga, we can do that below. *SPOILERS BELOW*







The first 5 seconds are a flash of all of the past Elite 10 members, but the interesting thing is Soma representing 0 which I feel symbolizes Soma's aim to surpass them all.
The next 5 seconds show Soma walking against heavy snow and wind while images of the Elite 10 who sided with Central flash overhead, symbolizing not only the frozen climate of Hokkaido but the elements and obstacles standing in Soma's way.
For the next 15 seconds we see Soma's hood being blown back to reveal that even in the midst of the obstacles he faces, Soma stands more excited to face the challenge than anything else as the camera fades to the 4 trains that provide the primary transportation for this arc speed through the snow before the snow changes into a table cloth with gourmet food flanking either side, because of course it's Food Wars
Title Card for 5 seconds leads into about 5 or so seconds each of Soma and Erina showing them as kids, them where they are now, and their fathers, each of which will be important to this arc.
15 more seconds pass showing off Megumi and Takumi worrying in front of bars which cage the remaining rebels showing off the fact that all of the rebels aside from Soma, Erina, Megumi, and Takumi will fail and thus end up being prisoners of Central's will, destined for expulsion, effectively the execution of their cooking careers.
55 seconds in, a Cinnamon Stick symbolizing Hayama drops with the beat and breaks symbolizing that Hayama has broken ties with Soma and the rebels and for the next 7 seconds, we get to see a visualization of the battle that will take place between Hayama and Soma complete with a Bear silhouette in the background, the main ingredient for their cooking duel.
For 3 or so seconds after that you get a cut to what the Polar Star dorm used to look like back in Saiba and Dojima's day complete with Shiomi and Azami before showing off Saiba as he was seen back in his Totsuki days as essentially a demon chef who couldn't be beaten symbolized by the one eye being shrouded in darkness.
At 1 minute 9 seconds in, Demon Chef Saiba changes into the new "demon unbeatable chef" Eishi and the rest of the Central loyal old Elite 10 all being showed off in their various personas. Eishi is the White Knight of the Kitchen, Rindo is the Barbarian who Tames All, Momo is the Witch of Sweets, Saito is a disciplined Samurai who masters Sushi, Nene is in a traditional Japanese Kimono showing off her roots and skills as a Soba noodle specialist, and Eizan who views himself in the spotlight being showered by money.
The formidable Elite 10 give way to the rebels 3 seconds later led by Erina and Soma who appear as Jeanne Arc (Saber) and Sasaki Kojiro (Assassin) from the Fate series leading their group of rebels against Central, which are comprised of Megumi and Takumi as well as Kuga, Mimisaka, Isshiki, and Megishima. Megumi is in a cute boxer outfit that will be related to a part in the story where she trains with Chef Shinomiya in order to face Central and Takumi is in a Samurai outfit similar to Soma, because he is Soma's rival after all. Kuga looks like the Monkey King relating back to his specialization in Chinese cuisine. Isshiki is in traditional Japanese clothing, because of his background in Japanese cooking which is similar and ties him back to Nene on Central's side. Mimisaka and Megishima are in shadow because we haven't heard much from them and they will reveal themselves when the time is right.
At 1 minute 19 seconds, we see Soma getting overwhelmed by 8 energy blasts symbolizing the 8 Central Chefs that will ultimately stand in his way of freeing Totsuki and though Soma cannot overcome them all by himself, he reaches out in hope that with support from all of the rebels, they will defeat Central. The 4 free rebels are the first to reach out with him followed by everyone else who considers themselves a rebel. Among the rebels, we see both Hayama and Megishima foreshadowing Hayama's eventual redemption after his loss to Soma and Megishima officially helping to aid and support the rebels against Central.
The final 7 or so seconds shows off once again all of the chefs that stand in the way of the rebel's attempt to free Totsuki. The 6 Central supporting Elite 10 who sided with Azami and 2 others, Julio and Shoko 2 of the 3 replacement Elite 10 who filled the vacant positions originally occupied by the now rebels Isshiki, Megishima, and Kuga. It isn't spelled out explicitly in the trailer, but the other person who replaced the rebels was Hayama which is why he stands against Soma earlier in the OP. Ultimately the OP ends on a shot of Soma in front of the train standing in the snow with the sun shining brightly in the background, ultimately symbolizing Soma's ability to overcome this trial despite the odds.

It's funny and cool to notice the trains is symbols each person! The red is Soma, the yellow is Erina, the green is Aldini and the blue is Megumi!

What I love the most about SnS op is how they represent something like cooking as epic and dangerous, for example 1:07 is Souma’s dad with all the people he defeated in cooking but because of how they present it plus the knife and the lighting it could pass as a serial killer
