Just bought a mid range JVC DRVN speaker and successfully hooked it up onto my car which need to be DIY for position it. No amplifier or modification on my audio system and this speaker connected directly to my head unit.
The stock is 4" size Clarion 15W which have survive for 10 years now and still works perfect ! Good job Clarion
The aftermarket speaker is 6" size JVC CS-V628 40W. I would give a rate of 8 out of 10 although it still not yet connected to an amplifier yet though.
