Papados is one of the five villages located on the mountains above the Gulf of Gera. It is a lovely village with old mansions, churches, ouzo breweries, cafes, taverns, and all kinds of shops. Papados is also the Capital of Gera area. The five villages developed and came so close to each other that at one time the whole area could have developed into the major capital of Lesvos instead development came to halt many years ago.
