The best interpretation in the net. I wish I had found it earlier. my 10 year old doughter just played it today during her exam. If I had known the recording, she could have used it as inspiration.

Just popping in real quick as a pianist - MAJOR shout out to this accompanist for making this song make sense with the violin. I agreed to play the accompaniment for my friend at her upcoming violin recital (my third time ever accompanying anyone) and I’m discovering that while the piano part of this piece isn’t technically especially challenging, in terms of phrasing I have no clue what is going on. So, kudos, and I will be taking inspiration lol

I love it! You totally capture the sad, sorrowness, and despair in the minor section. Bravo!!!

First piece from the Unaccompanied Cello Suites in the Suzuki method - not to mention the only such movement that does not create its own accompaniment!

Other players don't pay much attention to dynamics control, perhaps because it's an instructional video, but I think this performance is as close to perfection.

I'm the sort of person who tends to see unusual things in classical music, and this is one of the strongest such images. I think of the story of Jesus and his life, death and resurrection, in part because this piece switches from lively and a major key to introspective and in a minor key, and then back again, with zero transition!
