So i built my new filter using the 7 gallon tough tote. Im using what looks like the same tubing as you used in this video. I even used a clamp and my drill with the nut driver bit. So i know its TIGHT on there but i still have a small drip leak. Help lol I think the issue is that hard spiral part in the tubing is preventing it from getting it super tight. Its literally just a drip here and there but im worried that it will get worse. Any ideas?

Good call Mel...water shouldn't drop that much in the cold while raining..I think if you slide your lava rock over the leak, it may stop it also...I just flooded my dining room😎..great video

Evaporation rates for shallow ponds in the midwest can be as much 1 1/2 inches a day; and in Arizona evaporation rates can reach as high as 3 inches a day. People can get excited and think they have a leak when really it's simply evaporation. In Michigan, my pond stays full and does not loose water for about 9 months, but July and August hit( no rain for over 65 days in my town) and I'm down 27 inches. My pond is out in an open field and gets alot of wind/wave action.
