Youth empowerment | Boury Silla | TEDxSpeedwayPlaza

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Why Youth Empowerment is necessary.

Boury Silla or Bou is currently a senior at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas. As a daughter of Senegalese immigrants, Bou is proud to embrace both her Senegalese heritage and American culture to create a unique lifestyle of her own. Her experiences in Senegal influenced and inspired her to shine light on the darkness that restricts the success in many of the Senegalese youth.
