17:04 this wouldn't have helped in this round, but if you can see the plate, the Chilean taxi will always have an orange plate. besides that I think the only other difference is the Argentinian taxi has yellow were the front and back window meet (but idk if that is always the case)

@11:40 in all of the provinces it's legal, but in Quebec it's a governement own compagny, in other provinces it's private

13:33 yes, in English all fish would be called seafood even if it came from a freshwater lake. It’s a bit confusing.

Ohio actually ended the front license plate requirement a few years ago, so you still kind of see a mix of front plates and no front plates on cars here, which just makes things even more confusing in GG.
🤪
Edit: The "Colombia" sign got me, too!" (I think my guess was about 3 blocks from you) haha 21:02

Nice video. Something to keep in mind when playing this map or others with drive throughs is to consider the side of the drive-through window. It corresponds to the side of the steering wheel.

18:05 You can see an Argentinian pole there, almost behind the palm tree

"Dubbo" and "Ryan Osling" are pure meme moments

About the Brazilian round, at 08:11 those big white letters on the grass end in a lot of consonants - most likely an acronym. Possibly a government organization. They usually have the state abbreviation at the end. In this case, "RS", for Rio Grande do Sul. ;)

IKEA is necessary in the Canaries to fill up all the AirBnBs with the same furniture 😂

21:50 Honestly you could get French just based off of the "age" ending

A McDonald's map is practically playing on Hard Mode. If a city has one McDonald's, it has one hundred. So many instances of there being two of them within a quarter mile of each other, maybe even closer.

Thanks Peter! I couldn't best you today, though in the first couple rounds I was lovin' it! But those NMPZ rounds left me feeling like I deserved a break today... anyway... it was a fun few rounds!

I like the little maple leaf on the Canadian logo. I wonder why they started doing that. I'll have to look it up and see if there's a story behind it. They should start doing something like that in every country.

First game I got all countries right, but my region guessing wasn't good at all (only the Japanese round broke 4k score). Totaled just above 14k score.
Second game was a bit better in terms of total score, but missed one correct country. 4th round I guessed Puerto Rico based on seeing San Juan on one of the billboards, cause I really didn't have other guesses. Also annoyingly switched my last round guess from Calgary to Edmonton at the last second. Total score ended up being about 16.5k.
Third game was a mixed bag. First and fourth round were really bad (Missouri instead of Nova Scotia, and Spain instead of Argentina), but the other 3 were quite good (even tho round 2 was in wrong country). Total ended up being about 13.5k.
Fourth game went really well apart from round three, which was a complete disaster. First round I was really confused, but somehow managed to pull a last second guess in the correct city, even tho I wasn't even sure about the country. Second round my guess was just in the neighboring state. Third round I swear it looked like UK with yellow number plates and that apartment next to the Mcdonalds, but couldn't figure out what direction the sun was at. Fourth round I was guessing between Sweden and France. I wasn't sure if H&M had stores outside of the Nordics, but the language steered me towards France, which I eventually chose. Region guess wasn't as good as the first two rounds, but at least I got the right country. Last round I again managed to guess the correct city. Even with that 3rd round blunder, it ended up being my best game out of the 4 with almost 18k score xD

@1:44 Man that would've been handy to know on the third game...
@11:39 God dammit it said Calgary right there... Completely missed that.

The McDonalds in Calgary is about 10 blocks north of where one of my best friends lived for ~10 years. I recognized it immediately.

Ohio no longer requires front plates, but a lot of the street view coverage is from before the change, and even now a lot of people just haven't bothered to remove their front plates. Same in Alaska. Also, cannabis is legal nationwide in Canada.
