2 things I'm certain of after that game:
1- PSDT is the best player in the world
2- Uncontested scrums absolutely SUCKS!

With that weather... "Cape of Good Perth" is the most fitting name 😂
Greetings from an also currently grey and damp Cape Town 😁

Australia had everything in their favor, home field advantage, rain, uncontested scurms, 10 changes and still looked outclassed.

Rain and uncontested scrums saved Aus from an embarrassing defeat. Go Bokke!! good game given the conditions. Great analysis Tim, as always!! ✌🏿🇿🇦

I was at the game and without seeing the detail, it was amazing how much Pollard calmed things down.
Also the uncontested scrums were not explained in any way to the crowd. There was a lot of frustration about that

Tim, I’m SO GLAD you mentioned the issue of which arm a wing carries the ball in! It drives me NUTS that wings at this level still get it so wrong! And it’s purely a coaching thing - boys should be taught at U/9 Level that a Left Wing carries the ball in his left hand so the right one is free to hand defenders off with! And vice-versa… 🙌

My hot takes 😊, Morne VDBerg, not the answer ( yet?) Apalele Fassi, huge promise. Quote of the day, "Not today Nic" 😂😂😂

Hi Tim, I agree with you concerning team selection for a terrible rainy day like this...but it goes deeper I think....Rassie has no control over the weather but he has control over his honesty and integrity and he promised every single player a chance to play...so by hook or by crook he kept his promise which is worth much more than a lost of a rugby game on the day. He gave all the new boys a chance to start but knew he had his old guns on the bench to support the young ones.. in the end the rain was awesome experience for the young lads and still the game was won...most important Rassie kept his promise and that is priceless...Rassie is a 5d master chessplayer and beautiful soul. ❤❤

Thanks Tim for your clear and objective analysis and comments. I am a Bok fan and we are proud of our win despite the terrible conditions.
Greetings from a cold and grey Cape Town.

Bok fan here, I’m really happy with the result. We blooded some young players and came away with a dominant win and 5pts. Win -win.

Matt Williams loved the "scrums".

Really enjoyed that "Perth of Good Hope" quip..
😂

Uncontested scrums is the way to take away one of the biggest bok strengths. That was absolutely tactical! 😮

Was at the game. Very wet, bucketed down and blustery wind too making kicking tough.
Felt like there was more green than gold.
Great atmosphere and 58, 500 still turned up despite the conditions.

That FM AM joke was top notch to be fair to you 😂

Not the cleanest victory but I suppose they can't all be blockbusters. Nice to take 2 bonus points home. Thanks for the video Tim! Looking forward to having you back in SA so soon for what will be two monster games.

1. Nortje is a test player.
2. Grant Williams is nailed into the 23-man Team regardless of who is available
