You can subtract 2 from the total dots I.e total dots=7
Ticks=7-2=5

Thank you very much for this video. It was very informative. If you don't mind answering, I have a question regarding the direction and its effect on the final answer. Since the direction the object is moving in the example is left (therefore decelerating), why is the answer 500 cm/s/s rather than -500 cm/s/s?

Could you briefly explain why we use the middle of the AB & CD points? Is it because it's more trustworthy, because it has to be average at CD? But why does it has to be average at CD? Thanks in advance.
