Great discussion! Yeah this is one of the most elaborate lineups I've seen lemax do in a while. Part of me is a little worried about the mechanical reliability of some of these, but at the same time, it comes with the territory. Anything mechanical is at risk for breaking down, but hopefully they won't be too hard to fix. Looking forward to the michaels lineup! Hope we see another facade

Totally digging those cottage type buildings. It gives a great base for a new theme for my ever-expanding village to keep it fresh each year. Likely getting all of them.

Totally agree about The Haunted Aquarium. It reminds me of the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ back in the day - 70's & 80's!

Phantom view apartments, Full Moon Diner and Samantha’s yard decor are no doubt going to be best sellers. And many will also be thrilled there is a new trick house after soo many years. The only thing I don’t like is how they are really getting away from porcelain and making a lot of resin pieces, especially the new haunted house, which isn’t too great as they are my passion. There are only three porcelain pieces this year, which isn’t good. I’m a long time collector, so I know they could still use ceramic in making the animated pieces, as many of the older ones have many moving elements. It’s crazy how many people have discovered ST and are now creating videos, like yourself. Enjoyed seeing what’s coming this year from the lemax site and also excited for the exclusives which are always released in July. You should check out Dept 56 SV Halloween some time, as their pieces are absolutely beautiful. Both have their own cult followings. Great video and love the excitement you bring with collecting.

They look great this year but did they do better job on the animated pieces. Here is my take on them:
Phantom View: I see people having issues with the elevator.
Full Moon Diner: I see it completely failing if any piece binds slightly causing motor or gear failure.
Mystery Meat: Same as previous years of similar mechanisms, motor failure.
Haunted aquarium reminds me of the Monsters of the Deep from Department 56.
I agree with you on the funeral home and trick or treat house.
Bridge is reminiscent of the Sleepy Hollow Bridge from many years back.
Great review of the pieces, I can't wait to see them in person. Whether or not they break, I will own them and of course, repair them.

How reliable are the animated pieces? They look good, but are also expensive and I've had friends tell me that they sometimes don't even work properly brand new, out of the box !! Or fail within the first few years of operation.

I have a question I don’t know if you can answer or not, but am I the only one that wonders why all the figurines don’t match up with the building doors?? Like the figurines look like they couldn’t fit in the door they just don’t look proportionate or is that just me?

Why are a lot of the new houses so short? If you look at the specs for the things like the little witches house and the pumpkin with the cat in the front they are hardly even 5 inches tall and 4 inches tall what’s up with that
