Wow. Finally, after over a year, here we are.

This video is a long, long, long time in the making. When I started it, Season 3B hadn't yet come out, and I had a completely different vision for this video. The video you see now is not what I had intended to make, but it is how the video evolved. There are so many moments and themes that didn't make the final cut. But! I'm still really proud of the final result, and there might just be enough material left out that could create a whole new Magnus video after this one.

Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this. Please let me know what you think, and I'll see you next time.

ajajskskjk in all seriousness this was absolutely stunning. you forever continue to impress me with your editing skills and your ability to find new meanings behind different scenes. not a second of this was wasted, every scene had a purpose, it flowed incredibly well and everything came together to end my whole life. the way you linked moments together in this was MASTERFUL, it gave me a deeper understanding to scenes that i thought i knew intimately. i was literally holding my breath the entire way through and then started bawling somewhere around a minute in, so, thanks for making me cry at 1 in the morning. you portray his character so amazingly well i am BALD. his defence mechanisms, his loyalty, his selflessness, his fear of loneliness, just everything??? ART! that last part where asmodeus says “you will be the death of him” followed by magnus saying “i’ll use the last drop of my power if it’s the death of me”? that made me drop my phone and just GAPE into space like you DID jesus

i needed to watch it a second time just to fully process what just happened. i am So emotional. nina, you should be so proud of what you’ve created, i’m really proud of you, this is absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful and i’m going to go cry forever. thank you for creating this and working so hard on it

This is fantastic. You have given so much depth to one of the most amazing characters on tv. It is mentioned throughout how long Magnus lived but this makes it so clear the huge step he took to open his heart to Alec. He knew exactly how it would end and how excruciating it will be because he already lived it. He feels so deeply but even he was not aware how profound his love for Alec would be. You have managed to portray the tragic, brave, loving man Magnus is with such grace and elegance that it had me on the floor. Thank you for making this part of my mind.

He's Been Through A Lot. A Sad, Terrible past, but...
Once he saw Alec, he felt different, he locked himself from love because of some past memories, but Alec Unlocked it.
When he went to Alec's wedding, Maryse told him to leave, but he said he'll only leave if Alec said so, so by that, he was being respectful, he said:
"I'll leave if he asks me to".
Alec didn't say anything, but Did Something, Something that Shocked Everyone, Even Himself, Alec Let Out His Feelings, and Magnus Felt Happy About It, Magnus Was Now With Someone He Wanted To Be With.

Later on, at the bar, their first date, Alec asks Magnus about how many people he's been with. Magnus says 17 almost saying thousand, and Alec is like "okay, that's not much, right?" Magnus then shows a face of that "its more than that" face, so then Alec says "17 hundred?" Magnus again shows the face, then Alec says "17 thousand?!" With a shocking face(😮). Back at the apartment, Alec says that they might be too different. Magnus frowns by the thought of that. Alec says he needs to leave, but he thinks about Magnus, so he stops midway to the front door and turns around. He goes to stand in front of Magnus and tells him that he doesn't care how many he's been with, and Magnus says he doesn't care how many people he hasn't been with. Alec stares at him, then reaches to kiss him. A lovable kiss that shows how much Alec loves Magnus. Magnus gets happy, and Alec smiles. (Then Jace comes asking if Magnus has a spare room 😂)

Weeks later, he loses his magic, loses his job as High Warlock and Alec asks him if he's okay, and Magnus says he's fine, he's okay, but of course, he isn't.

Alec gets asked to go to idris/Alicante, and Magnus gets proud of him, but deep inside he doesn't want him to leave. Sometime Soon at the bar, Magnus tells Alec that he doesn't want him to leave, then Alec says he won't leave, he said he always wanted to be with a person he always wanted to be with, and that was Magnus💙.

So More on, Alec goes to Asmodeuse to tell him about Magnus, and Asmodeuse tells Alec to break his heart, because that's how Asmodeuse will give Magnus his Magic back. Alec painfully does what he said and tells Magnus he needs a break (meaning breakup 😭)

Later, They're in Alicante, Jonathan is of course destroying and burning it cause he's evil.
Magnus Finds out what Asmodeuse did, so then he traps Asmodeuse in Portal, and goes to Alicante To Help and Most Importantly Find Alec.
Finally, the moment we've been waiting for, The Proposal! 💍💍💙💙!
Alec wanted to propose to Magnus, but Magnus that day wasn't in a good mood.
So when Magnus Arrives, HE Proposed to Alec, and Alec Says: " Only If You Marry Me" and they both have their Rings On, but Magnus has to leave to close the hole that allows demons from Edom to enter to earth.
Lastly, everyone goes to save him, and Izzy, and after all that,
They Get Their Happy Ending: Their Wedding
