I think you can use the Appel camera adapter that has a usb and a lighting inputs

What ipad do you recommend for that type of booth?

Had the same problem before. I'm now using a usb-c dongle. You'll maybe need to try a few but it will work just fine!

Bro I think you need to connect to a small hub rather than a splitter. It works for my iPad air I use with audio apps. That should enable the charging plus data transfer, I've heard about this being an issue with iPads. Does your photobooth setup allow space for a small hub?
