It’s worth discussing whether feds effort to manage business cycles via monetary policy is really needed as booms and busts still occur. Clearly trump is against that idea which is fair esp if rate decisions aren’t exactly reflective of the market clearing nominal rate as you induce sub optimality (either jobs or prices). Trump has a valid point - debatable but valid.
