Traffic Sign Recognition - Enabling on VW MQB Group Cars like Skoda, Audi, Seat (VCDS / OBDEleven)

Steps used to enable Traffic sign recognition. You will need OBDEleven or VCDS to make the changes.

You will need an A5 camera fitted already used for e.g. lane assist.

Controller 5F (Multimedia)
--Adaptations--Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2
traffic_sign_recognition_0x21
Change to to activated.

--Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2
menu_display_road_sign_identification
Change to activated.

--Long Coding--Byte 24, Bit 6
Traffic Sign Display (VZA)
Change to not active

Controller A5 (Driver Assistance)
--Long Coding--Byte 16, Bit 04
“Traffic sign recognition VZE"
Change to Active

Controller 17 (Dashboard)
--Long Coding--Byte 5, Bit 2 Enable
“Traffic Sign Recognition installed".
Change to Activated

Hello, great video! I just finished the coding on a Canadian market 2017 Mk.7 Golf Alltrack. The coding went well, with no glitches. I can see the Dynamic Road Sign Recognition option in the central console in the Car-> Assistance systems menu. I can also see that the compass has moved from top centre of the dashboard to the bottom left and that the temperature display moved from bottom centre to bottom right of the dashboard. However, when I scroll through the Driving Data screen on the dashboard, when I reach the Road Signs sub-menu, I have a message that reads "No road signs available". Hence, when I drive, no road signs pop up on the dashboard. I suppose I do not have the right camera? Thanks again.

Hi there great video, I just wanted to ask if this would work on an Audi Q3 2019. The car already has lane assist, Sat Nav and traffic recognition camera built in. The virtual cockpit has the option for traffic sign recognition but currently states not available when I switch to it. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks for the video, any idea how to do this (specifically last step) on MEB platform ? In my case the car recognizes the signs and shows a message saying I exceeded speed limit for example however the sign itself is not shown on the dash or HUD.

Thanks for the great video. Got most of the way there but I am using VCDS and cannot see the first option traffic_sign_recognitiom in the adaptations menu. The next one shows and i can change this, i am thinking it might be called something different? Many thanks

Worked for me on my RS3 qas well! Thank you! I do however get a popup saying traffic sign restricted, consult manual. Any ideas if this is normal?
