I walked the trail in 2018, go go go my friend!! Remember all that is really important is that you go and that you know you will suffer in the greatest possible way. Make a deal with each other that no matter what you will stick it out for 3 weeks, no matter how slow you have to go etc. 3 weeks!!!

You’ll love the XMid 2. I would not split up the inner and outer. Its made to pitch together and you will especially want to in rain. If you want to split gear for weight, one could carry the tent and maybe the other could carry the sleep pads or similar.

If you can id get the neoair xtherm nxt or xlite nxt. It should come out in january. No noise and warmer.

Nice video. You may want to add 2 more stakes. Four for the base, two for the vestibules and two for the peak guy lines in higher winds for stability.

I'm curious about this backpack side pockets. They look tall. Can you reach your bottles without taking your pack off? It's interesting to remove the brain but add a fanny pack. I can see the difference in how you can access items throughout the day. Tent sounds great for 2 ppl. Sounds like cozy sleeping. Should work well for you. Best of luck!
