Introducing the early Cyrillic alphabet, how, where and by whom it was created. Two Greek monks, Cyril and Methodius, designed the alphabet for Slavs in order to spread christianism in Bulgaria. Thence, the Cyrillic alphabet was taken to Rus, Ukraine, Russia and other countries.

А як же гіпотеза, що насправді вони створили саме глаголицю, а варіант, який, ми знаємо, як "кирилиця" був створений вже їх учнями?

So Im not really sure but actually their aren't Greek monks since the area around was mixed and so Greece doesn't claim them as theirs so it leaves to present Bulgaria

Cyril and Methodius were born in Thessalonica and were Macedonians.
