I'd go with low power LEDs all around.  You don't need a whole lot of throw for the headlights going 12 mph haha.  For the electronics blowing, if they were messing with the wiring then make sure the 12v accessories are pulling off two batteries in the series and they didn't try to hook it up wrong and are getting the full 36v from all 6 batteries.  And while you are rewiring you can distribute the 12v load on the batteries,  something like the radio on batteries 1 & 2, LED lights on 3 & 4, and all the other accessories on 5 & 6.  You might even be able use a few relays to turn everything on and off with the key.  And of course don't forget to fuse each "set" of 12v circuits at the batteries.  It's been about 20 years since I messed with an electric golf cart but that's just a few ideas off the top of my head if you haven't considered them already.

Hey man! Thanks I just bought one. I have some questions. Would you be down for a call?

I just purchased an 1989 Royal Ride gas model this morning.  Needs paint and a few other cosmetic items.  Do you know where I could purchase a manual that would show me how to disassemble the body?  Thanks in advance
