this reminds me of those days as a kid where something weird happened and u didnt have anyone to talk to, so you just lay in bed that night thinking about it untill u fall asleep and then woke up the next day feeling different forever

WTF. How can this be my new favorite Alex G song lmao. This man's brain for melody and rhythm is insane.

this feels like “you grew up in a small town, and you go on walks a lot, you’re 11 years old and your parents are fighting again so you go out for fresh air at night and you’re jittery flinching at everything cause you think every immediately leads to something bad” core. once I met my friend somewhere because my parents were so close to divorce it was scary. it felt so wrong but so comforting.

had the police knocking around at my house far too many times, this song soothes that inner child who’s terrified of even the slightest door knock or siren in case the police are there.

My step dad Greg said his earliest memory as a child was seeing police lights flashing through the hole his father had punched in the wall

We had a new neighbor who frequently went outside and she always came to my door first. One night, she came to my door crying. I lived in a townhome so the area was small and we never saw red and blue flashing lights. The only time we did her brother had stopped breathing and she came from the end of the street so I could comfort. I ended up making her laugh that night. This song kinda reminds me of that night

He played this live in Philly last night while the venue was yelling at him to wrap it up- it was beautiful. Hope someone got a video.

A very good friend showed me this track. He told me to look at the comments when I’m listening to it at night in bed would “make it even better”.
If you read this. You’re wonderful.

You still are

No better reminder of the unstoppable and mortifying passage of time than revisiting your favourite Alex G songs and remembering how long it’s been since you first heard them. I don’t even feel like the same person anymore.

I just heard him live tonight in Montreal. I was secretly hoping he’d play this. I know it’s not a fan favourite but it surely is mine. My ears are still ringing from the show but I couldn’t help myself but listen to this before bed.

im convinced the description is alex pressing the autofill words and making half cohesive sentences

This just reminds me of times I'd watch my parents fighting then open to door to my uncle that came to solve the problem, it feels weird, this song makes me feel the same confusion i felt back then cuz i wouldn't think their reasons to fight was even true, it felt fake

this oddly feels like what a halloween/fall update in a kids virtual world game would sound like

This song reminds me of one time when I was 10 my parents were fighting and a police officer came into my house. I remember the officer talking to me and my sister asking if we were alright. We were confused and shook up from that strange night.
