Representative Lois Frankel joined the Congressional Black Caucus’ as they kicked off Black History Month by announcing legislation to preserve Black history in America’s classrooms. Rep. Frankel joined the Members in introducing these bills, including Rep. Beatty’s (OH-03) Black History is American History Act, Rep. Bowman’s (NY-16) African American History Act, and Rep. Mfume’s (MD-07) National Council on African American History and Culture Act.

During the presser, Rep. Frankel addressed the State of Florida’s recent attempts to censor Black history in classrooms.
