In tonight's episode of EastEnders, Ian Beale made the shock announcement he's leaving

Albert Square "for good"!

Adam Woodyatt has played the loveable idiot on the BBC soap since it began in 1985.

But it could be the end as Jane Beale has convinced him they need to leave as a

family, after Max Branning threatened her.

He tried to kill her in a fire last month, when he left her for dead.

And tonight, the evil man forced her to say it was all Steven Beale's fault that she'd

nearly died, as he threatened her and her family.

After she'd lied to the police, Ian apologised to Jane for his various children who've

hurt her.

Jane then insisted she couldn't go back to Walford, begging him.

She said: "This is what I want, I can't go back there Ian, don't make me."

Reluctantly, Ian replied: "Look, if thats the way you feel, then that's what we'll do.

"We'll leave Walford for good."
