Im here in Germany having a 10 Mbps connection and this is a very good connection here in Germany 1000 Mbps is just ridiculous - but I love how you are so excited and I'm very happy for you :D

For 11 years I had a max download of 5 to 6mbps. We ended up moving. I have Cox now at 150Mbps (originally signed up for 100, they upgraded), but only 10mbps upload speed. A Local Power company started laying fiber, even to non customers (for their power infrastructure), and they do 100 or 1000mbps plans. Fiber is in my yard, I am now waiting for external splice to the pole and internal hookup. Im going for the 100mbps plan as its $20/month cheaper, 100mbps upload (10x faster) and NO DATA CAPS. A game update put me over the limit a few months back and cost an extra $10 that month. Data caps are arbitrary and just a money grab.

Here we are 4 years later and Google Fiber is coming. We are at the trenching stage so maybe 6 months from now. It figures I just dropped Spectrum for T-Mobile 5g Internet service. It’s much cheaper $35 a month. Speed is okay but varies.

In my area for long time Spectrum which was known as Time Warner Cable back then had a complete monopoly when it came to broadband internet.
However, little over a week another company launched their fiber internet which the fastest plan they offer is 2 Gbps / 2 Gbps. Which is cheaper then Spectrum's 1 Gbps / 35 Mbps plan which is saying something.

I love my google fiber. I get around 900 up and download on speedtest. I wish they had some kind of parental controls where I can shut my kids devices off at certain times

So I used to have AT&T but later cancelled the plan since my Console was far from the router is it possible for google to install a router in my room?

Thank you Mr Ben did you get experience you have a workstation of computers over 103 meters from the server there is no repeater and it is using 10baseTwiring you cannot connect to the network. And how you can connect to a network server

Hey from Huntsville area too!! Was thinking of getting wow! 100mbps vs att fiber 1g. Is the 1g fiber worth it for just regular streaming and work or would the wow! 100mbps do? Not much DL or uploading. Thanks!
